Welcome to Two Rivers, Wisconsin!
Two Rivers’ slogan is “catch our friendly waves” since it is located along Lake Michigan. Its Point Beach State Park is a 3000 acre park with a historic lighthouse and plenty of beaches and forests to explore. Two Rivers offers many attractions to venture including Rogers Street Fishing Village, Ice Age National Scenic Trail, London Dairy Alpacas and Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve to just name a few. Two Rivers has an interesting history tidbit in regards to the ice cream sundae. Though debatable with Ithaca, New York; Two Rivers claims it is the birthplace of the ice cream sundae due to a story from a local soda fountain where in 1881, drizzled chocolate syrup over ice cream on a Sunday. The concept stuck and history was made. Be sure to visit a local ice cream shoppe to enjoy this treat!
